Holiday Fashion Idea! FRAAS: The Scarf Company [review]

FRAAS has introduced a line of scarves perfect to accessorize with any outfit. The bold print is not the only great thing about these scarves, they're Cashmink®! Soft and beautiful like cashmere only better!

Cashmink® the product of years of innovative technological development. V.Fraas patented these amazing results in order to exclusively bring you the finest possible textile accessory – cashmink®. These modern advances enabled us to create the most comfortable synthetic accessory whose softness, warmth, and functionality outperforms every natural fiber. What could possibly be finer than cashmere? Cashmink® is actually. The cashmink® fiber is finer than any natural fiber and is in fact 20% finer than cashmere. You can truly feel the difference. Its incomparable softness and optimal thermal insulation provide the highest level of warmth and comfort. In short, cashmink® feels wonderfully cozy and soft against the skin.

I have to admit that I'm generally not one to wear scarves(I only own 3). The FRAAS Cashmink scarf is really soft and comfortable, I've found myself wearing it more than I thought I would! They're a great quality buy at $30-40!

Bright, bold patterns and colors are great with an all-black ensemble.

FRAAS is working on a consumer-friendly site, but you can still find FRAAS Cashmink Scarves online! You can find Fraas Cashmink Scarves at Bon-Ton, Boscov's, Amazon.com and private labels at Dillard's and Lord & Taylor.

What is YOUR favorite way to wear a scarf? Let me know in the comments!

Shutterfly has an enormous selection of cards to choose from, and you're sure to find just the right style and layout to truly show-off your lovely family and send well-wishes to all your friends and family.

Cirque du Soleil Zumanity: the sensual side of @Cirque

Seeing Cirque du Soleil live is something I recommend everyone add to their 'bucket list' if it isn't on there already. I'm so grateful to Cirque for providing me the opportunity to see Zumanity live in Las Vegas while I was there attending BlogWorld 2010

I spent the afternoon hanging out with the lovely @CarolSchiller and since my hubby didn't go along with me to BlogWorld I needed a date and she was wonderful enough to join me.

The Zumanity experience is unlink anything you can imagine. As soon as you enter, the mood and ambiance takes over. You have now entered a new world and prepare for the unexpected. The music is performed live by a very talented band and pair of singers, and confetti and flower petals that fall from the ceiling at different points throughout the show making the event truly unforgettable.

The show is interactive and as soon as you're seated you'll meet Dick & Izzy. Zumanity’s resident sex therapists, Dick and Izzy aim to please with their sexy and silly methods engaging the audience in a hilarious round of not-so-innocent repartee. The sexual tension runs high as Dick- a French sex merchant- peddles his wares, while Izzy- his wife!- searches the audience night after night for a boyfriend. It's hilarious and both @CarolSchiller and I were in fits of laughter whilst watching their antics all night. The audience isn't safe either!

The narrator and storyteller of the evening is the lovely Edie. As the sun sets and desires come alive, Edie uses her signature blend of sass and sensuality to guide the audience through the erotic escapades that make up the world of Zumanity. Edie is definitely a great character. She truly carries the show and makes it flow.

Watching Zumanity, my 'date' and I were both flabbergasted by the sheer athleticism these artists display. Not only are they all talented performers, their creative displays are so innovative! The Waterbowl (in picture below) is an amazing 'dance' between two women jumping, twisting and swimming in (and out of) a bowl of water on stage.

Waterbowl

Tssius was another of my favorite acts. The aerial dance told a beautiful story of love and desire, and the performers' small stature made everything so incredible. Rose Boy (below on the right) was a delight to watch (*wink, wink*) both Carol and I could have sworn those abs were painted on! (I should have asked for a close-up view right?)

The finale was a rotating 'orgy' act (below). It was a feast for the eyes no doubt, and displayed all the glorious characters we'd seen all night.

In the middle of the act, two audience members were plucked from their seats and joined the cast on the rotating stage to partake in the fun. It was great to watch and the entire audience was roaring with laughter.

Seeing Zumanity was an experience I'll never forget, and look forward to seeing many more live Cirque du Soleil shows as well. All the performers are amazingly talented, and the entire performance experience is exciting!

Have YOU ever seen a Cirque show live? If so, which one? If not, which are you dying to see?

Hard Candy Cosmetics REVIEW

this review is part of the Cool for School blog bash

HardCandy_Logo

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you know how much of a makeup addict I am. When I contacted Hard Candy Cosmetics for this review, I was thrilled to hear back from them so quickly!

Trying out a new makeup line can sometimes be daunting, but Hard Candy cosmetics has something for everyone!

Hard Candy cosmetics makes a variety of products from eye shadow and eye liner to lip color and nail polish. Their products are sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores and with the average product cost as $6, Hard Candy cosmetics are super affordable!

I was sent the following products for review:

 hcglamazon
Visibly Wet glossy lip pencil in the color Glamazon. The oversized lip pencil is a great addition to any makeup bag, especially on the go! The Visibly Wet pencil is a creamy, sheen color that is wonderful for everyday.

hcnail1
Just Nails nail color in Date Night. This nail color is rose pink color that is all glitter, which to be honest I have never tried. I am pleased to say I quite like the glitter nail polish! It’s subtle and pretty. (I used it over top another pink color)

hceye7
Take Me Out Liner eyeliner in Bullet. This silver eyeliner glides on easily, blends well and the color is very bold and vibrant. Honestly it’s been years since I bought anything other than black liner so I look forward to incorporating this eyeliner into some fun looks!

My favorite product from the Hard Candy line is their eye shadow duos. (I wasn’t sent any for review, but have purchased one for myself in the past.) Their highly pigmented shadows are great both wet or dry, and are available in several great color combinations.
